HALFORD Prepare 'Surprise' Set List For Tour, Announce Plans For New Album
April 21, 2003HALFORD manager John Baxter has posted the following band update via their official web site at www.robhalford.com:
"Today (Saturday, April 19),Rob and the boys are working their final rehearsal before the start of the [The Metal Gods 2003] tour. Rob has surprised us all with the songs he added to the set. TMG tour will feature one of HALFORD's most memorable set lists. The guys have a great selection of songs ready to slot into the set throughout the tour as well, so it should keep everyone guessing.
"[New bassist] Mike Davis has added a phenomenal presence to HALFORD. We are excited for him, and anxious for all of you to watch the guy nicknamed 'concrete fingers.' Mike is a full-on demonic bass player. I hope many of you get chance to meet him this spring.
"During the tour, the band will collectively write songs for the 2004 HALFORD Studio Release. And we'll keep everyone up-to-date on the progress of these 'road sessions' through the duration of the tour.
"Finally, we have Bill Cooper dusting off the tapes and commencing the mixing phase of HALFORD's February 2003 [House Of Blues] Anaheim Performance — for broadcast through Westwood One. We should have that completed and ready for broadcast in late May. Of course links to the show will be available through www.RobHalford.com."
